“To You, From God”

Advent 2023

As many of us spend time over the coming weeks preparing wish lists and purchasing gifts for loved ones, we want to invite you to join us at North Suburban Church for a transformative four-week Advent sermon series titled "To You, From God," in which we will delve into the heart of Christmas and the profound gifts exchanged between God and humanity. Inspired by the insightful booklet "A Very Different Christmas" by Rico Tice and Nate Morgan Locke, this series will aim to illuminate the true essence of the holiday season.

On the first Sunday in Advent (12/3), we'll explore the incredible gift God has given us—His Son. This foundational message sets the stage for a deeper understanding of the Christmas narrative. Moving into the second week (12/10), we will reflect on the Son's gift to us—a perfect life unlike what any other human has achieved. The third week (12/17) delves into the Spirit's gift, which beautifully unites us to Christ, making Christ’s perfect life our own.

Finally, on Christmas Eve (at 10:30am and 11pm), we’ll reflect on our response to God's extraordinary gifts. Together, let's explore the significance of the gifts we offer back to God in gratitude for all that He has bestowed upon us in Christ.
