The PRoblem

We're a nation divided over race. Divided over politics. Divided over COVID precautions. And the church of Jesus Christ in America is experiencing the same divisions! In the face of such schism, what could possibly unite us? Paul's letter to the Ephesians holds that answer.

The Series

In September 2020, we begin a ten-week exploration of how we might become a people who witness to a watching world the unifying power of Jesus Christ.

The Vision

What if, in contrast to a nation and a church divided, North Sub were a congregation united? Not united because we're uniform in our opinions, but because those issues that divide us are not the issues we hoped we'd unite over in the first place.

We at North Sub aren't uniform in our political stance. We aren't uniform in our beliefs about COVID. We aren't uniform with respect to ethnic heritage. We don't need to be!

And actually, it's better that we aren't, because our hope is that a watching world will see us and say, "How could those people who have so many differences nevertheless be experiencing such deep unity?" That's what only Christ can do.

The THREE-Part ASK

1) Would you join a Life Group this Fall to study Ephesians deeply with a group of people who will challenge and encourage you? Groups are accepting new members now.

2) Would you consider purchasing an Ephesians study journal and bringing it to church to take notes on the sermon text each week?

3) Would you ask God to prepare your heart to be filled by the Spirit with the fullness of God in Christ? And would you join us in asking Him that our church would display to a watching world a visible, unexplainable unity?
