The vision for Kids Ministry is to coordinate and interact with Student Ministry and Adult Ministry in a commitment to moving from the Well to the Word to the World.

The heart of Kids Ministry at North Suburban is to partner with parents as we help kids grow in their understanding of who God is, what it means to have a personal relationship with God through Jesus, actively walk with Him, and impact the world around them.

The vision for our younger Preschool/Kindergarten kid’s classrooms is to reflect the days of creation. This helps the kids understand that God is our creator as represented in the Bible.

Age 2 – Kindergarten

This is an inviting place for kids to begin to understand what God is like and how much He loves them as they are loved by their teachers and learn from the Bible. They will experience both fun classroom time and large group worship through singing, Bible stories, and giving. Classes are provided during the 9:15am Education Hour and during the 10:30am Worship Service and the Biblical theme carries throughout both hours.

GRADES 1 – 3

Here kids grow in their knowledge and understanding of who God is at a deeper heart level. They will have fun and experience God-centered, kid-friendly worship, awesome storytelling, and a small group experience with caring leaders. Classes provided during both the 9:15am Education Hour and the 10:30am Worship Service.  While the teaching themes have a strong tie both hours, the content is different. During the 9:15am Education Hour, we will use a curriculum called PRAYKIDS. Kids will learn and experience many aspects of prayer and will also see the impact they can have on the world through it.

CLUB 45

The kids in grades 4 & 5 will love this place that gives them an identity of their own and a sense of belonging. As they interact in both large and small groups, they will discover how relevant the Bible is to their lives right now. They will also be involved in service projects as well as periodic social events throughout the year. An overnight “Arctic Blast” is one of the favorites. Classes provided during both the 9:15am Education Hour and the 10:30am Worship Service.  While the teaching themes have a strong tie both hours, the content is different. During the 9:15am Education Hour, we will use a curriculum called PRAYKIDS. Vision and Curriculum

We are in our third year of unpacking our North Sub mission, “From the Well to the Word to the World”, and we are eager to see how God’s love is being poured out into the world through His people. We want to help kids see that God’s work in them can make a big difference in the world around them.

This year we will be using the 2:52 Basics Curriculum that looks at the Bible through the lens of virtues,“Something God does in us, to change the world around us.”  The emphasis will be TRUSTING the Holy Spirit to work in us as He transforms our lives rather than trying hard to become something in our own strength! The virtues we will look at this year are:  Trust, Humility, Generosity, Patience, Cooperation, Love, Courage, Service, and Hope.
