Chavurah
Jewish and Gentile Believers In Jesus
Seekers Welcome
Chavurah meets in the Hospitality Room on the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month at 7:30 p.m. No registration is required. Invitation is open to all.
Chavurah (Havarah) is a Hebrew word for fellowship. Twice a month we gather to study the scriptures to see the unity in the Bible. Rather than using curriculum we call upon G-d’s Spirit to enlighten us as we examine parallel passages in the Old and New Testaments.
A. We encourage challenging questions, especially from visitors, and
examine the scriptures for answers.
B. We take prayer requests and join together in prayer.
C. We encourage one another to live the life according to the Scriptures by the power of G-d in us.
The Purpose of Chavurah is to acquaint and reinforce to Jewish and Gentile believers in Jesus and seekers as well that:
A. The Gospel Message is Jewish and can be found in the Old and New Testaments.
B. Jewish and Gentile peoples can only come to a right relationship with G-d through the finished work of Jesus the Messiah.
C. That G-d calls all men and women to have a relationship with Himself which is evidenced by the scriptures, primarily to Israel in the Old Testament, but opened to all now through Jesus.
